Barış Gürsel, (born in 1983) is part-time Visual Effects and Digital Cinematography lecturer at Yıldız Technical University, Faculty of Art & Design and also Director of Photography for various music videos and short movies. 

Barış is also working at Anima Istanbul, Animaton and Post Production agency as a full-time compositing artist.

Barış graduated from Art & Design Faculty, Interactive Design Program of Yıldız Technical University Istanbul, and now receiving his MFA in VCD from Bilgi University.

Through his own artwork he is attempting to examine the phenomenon of Biophilia (Human-Nature Relations) and Fiction/Fake. 

Right now he is working on his MFA project, a fake nature documentary/science fiction short movie. 

Barış currently lives and works in Istanbul,Turkey.
